It’s finally Fall Y’all! Now, traditionally I am a summer girl. I love the warmth, the beach, I even love mowing the lawn. But, there is something about the crispness of fall that my heart can’t deny (did I mention.. sweater weather?! Duh!).

When it comes to fall outdoor decor, I am all about the non traditional pumpkin colors, mums, lanterns and candles. I also love the incorporation of things you already may have laying around your home. For example, my husband cuts wood for our wood stove, so I grabbed two thin slices of a log he had laying on the ground and set a white pumpkin on them in my mulch bed, it looks adorable!

The scents of fall are unlike any other season, honestly. I am obsessed with Yankee Candle’s Apple Pumpkin scented candle. It’s the best of both worlds for when I want apple and pumpkin swirling around in the air. Why pick apple cobbler or pumpkin pie when you can have both?!

This fall, like I mentioned, I’m all about the non traditional colors. I love white, light green, blue, and blush colored pumpkins. I’ll admit, I am a sucker for the traditional orange pumpkin, too, so I do grab a few of those for my front doorway, but there’s just something about the pastel pumpkins that steal my heart! Apparently, I got this trait from my mom, because I rolled into her driveway recently to find these beautiful pumpkin displays! Granted, she doesn’t usually hoard this many pumpkins, she bought them as decorations for my sister’s baby shower later this month, but how gorgeous are they! She incorporated a bird cage with a stone bunny, a small mum, and flowering kale, which is absolutely adorable. She also surrounded her stone walkway with more mums, kale, pumpkins and dried hydrangeas! I managed to get my pup to take a picture in front of her set up, with some cookie coarsening, LOL! Seriously though, I’m just loving this combination and might have to steal that bunny idea for my house. 😉

I’m going to get more into some fall fashion and sweaters to live in this season later this month, so in the mean time, get those pumpkins and decorate to your heart’s desire! Don’t forget to light a candle and take lots of crisp fall walks!
