2 Ingredient Alfredo Sauce!

Okay people, Alfredo is not a word I use often in the kitchen. I absolutely LOVE Alfredo sauce, blush sauce, anything creamy and cheesy. But, I also know it isn’t the healthiest option out there. None the less, I make it every now and then because my husband requests it so often that I have to give in!

I don’t consider myself a “great cook”, but I think I can do what it takes to get the job done. My mom on the other hand is a great cook, just that simple. I was watching her in the kitchen one day make a quick dinner for our family when I was in college, which happened to be an Alfredo sauce. I was amazed at how easy she made it look, but didn’t really pay attention to what went into it. Fast forward a few years to me now attempting to make this for my own family, and I was intimidated at first. I called my mom up, and when she told me the ingredients, I was in shock! How could something so yummy be so easy?! Well, it is!

Here’s the run down:

  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • *Good* Parmesan Cheese
  • A large, non stick pot or pan to whisk the sauce up in (I like to use a bigger pan so I can end up tossing the noodles in at the end and have lots of room!)

Depending on how many people you’re preparing this dish for is how much of those two ingredients you’ll need for the sauce! I can easily use a medium size carton of heavy whipping cream if I’m making this for 3+ people, and if I want left overs. The amount of cheese on the other hand all depends on what type you get. I want to stress the fact that you may have to spend a little more on the cheese in order for the best taste possible, and it may take quite a bit of cheese depending on your taste! That’s the other great part of this sauce, you can make it as cheesy or creamy as you want! I personally don’t add salt to this sauce, since Parm cheese is pretty salty on it’s own, so I feel that there is enough, but you can tweak it to your tastes. You can also add black pepper and parsley to garnish when you’re done!

Try this simple yummy recipe out and let me know what you think!

Until next time! xoxo
